Hurn Wins ExxonMobil/AIChE-NCS Award
Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering (ChBE) senior Brandon Hurn received the 2014 ExxonMobil/American Institute of Chemical Engineering (AIChE)–National Capital Section Award.
Each year, the ExxonMobil Research and Engineering Company and the National Capital Section of the AIChE present two of the awards to outstanding students, one from Howard University and one from the University of Maryland.
Hurn is the Vice President of the Clark School’s student chapter of the AIChE and the current leader of the Thirsty Turtles, ChBE’s Chem-E Car team. He is also a member of the University of Maryland’s RISE (Research, Instruction, Service, and Entrepreneurship) Leadership Academy.
