Please Note:
- CHBE 101 is only offered in the Spring term during the regular school year. If you transfer in the Fall, you will need to take CHBE 101 over the summer, as this is a prerequisite course to our sophomore year courses.
- We also offer CHBE 250 and CHBE 301 during the summer term for transfer students who want to graduate in 2 years.
- CHBE 302 is not a prerequisite course for the Year 3 Fall courses, and can be taken in the Spring of year 3 to make it possible for a transfer student to graduate in 2 years and 1 summer.

TOTAL CREDITS: 125 (128)
* All students must complete two Distributive Studies courses that are approved for I-series courses. The Understanding Plural Societies (UP) and Cultural Competence (CC) courses may also fulfill Distributive Studies categories. Visit the General Education@UMD Program web site for complete information.
** See our Technical Electives page for a list of approved courses.
*** Students choosing to take BCHM 461 are required to take BCHM 462 as a technical elelective; otherwise BCHM 461 will not satisfy the Department's BCHM requirement. BCHM 463 alone does satisfy the Department's BCHM requirement. Students may therefore choose to take BCHM 461 AND BCHM 462; OR choose to take only BCHM 463. BCHM 461 and BCHM 462 do not need to be taken in the same semester.
