All current CHBE undergraduate students are eligible to pursue a track. Students may pursue any one track by informing their staff advisor (currently, either Ms. Kathy Gardinier or Ms. Amanda Alicea) of their intent to pursue the track. Students should then work with their faculty mentor and staff advisor to select courses within the chosen track. Choosing a track is optional. A student could choose to graduate with no tracks if they wish to study the major comprehensively instead of specializing in certain area.
Specialize in a track within the broad field of chemical engineering.
- Chemical Design and Manufacturing: Conventional ChE including catalysis, separations and manufacturing.
- Sustainability, Energy and Environment: sustainability, environmental impact, energy conversion and storage, batteries and photovoltaics.
- Nanomaterials and Nanotechnology: Science and engineering at the nano scale.
- Biomolecular Engineering: Biopharmaceuticals and cellular engineering.
