Alumni Start New School Year as Professor, Dean
Two Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering (ChBE) alumni have joined the faculties of prominent universities.
Chia-Ying “Winnie” Chiang (Ph.D. ’12), formerly advised by ChBE professor and chair Sheryl Ehrman, joined the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology in Taipei, Taiwan, as an assistant professor.
Darryl Williams (M.S. ’01, Ph.D. ’04) was appointed Associate Dean for Recruitment, Retention, and Community Engagement and Director of the Center for STEM Diversity at Tufts University, after a three-year rotator position at the NSF. At UMD Williams was co-advised by Ehrman and former ChBE professor Tracey Holoman.
